Morenos Limitada was founded in the year 1980 with the initial
purpose of importing and selling English packed Tea of the brand
JACKSONS OF PICCADILLY. During the Administration of President Belisario
Betancur´s ban on imports, the company was forced to find
a related activity, entering the market of herb infusions.
In this market with our brand KISKA ( meaning edible herb in the
Muisca native language), we became leaders since then , of the fresh,
dehydrated herbs local and export market. With our own growing areas
in the towns of Cachipay and Anolaima ( Cundinamarca) and also in
the Bogota plateau, we are now exporting to the United Staes and
Europe fresh and dehydrated herbs.
With the reopening of imports in the early 90's , together with
the selling of our KISKA products, we restarted the import of Jacksons
of Piccadilly teas and new product lines of food products similar
in their quality and target market were also imported. That is why
we now have one of the best portfolio of British, Danish and some
other basically European food products which we commercialize exclusively
for the Colombian market.
Among the principal products of Morenos Ltda's imports portfolio
we find Twinings teas, Cadbury biscuits, chocolates and hot beverages,
Royal Dansk and Bisca danish butter cookies, Taveners toffees and
sweets, McVities, Carr's and Burtons biscuits, Weetabix cereals,
Walkers scottish shortbread, Hojalmar pastry, John West and Marina
seafood products, Churchill's confectionery in beatiful tins, Ryvita
wassa bread, Anthon Berg chocolates, Sunquick fruit drinks and Tulip
Danish pork preparations.
Morenos Ltda has had a sustained growth in the last years through
the import and commercialization of all this excellent food products
together with our own brands KISKA and recently introduced La Tablita
seasonings, keeping special attention in quality and excellence
in customer service.
